Rival - R

The RIVAL - R is an outstanding all-round model with superb handling characteristics and a wide speed range, making it the ideal choice for the slope, flat field or as an Electric glider. The MH 32 wing section combined with the full span camber changing capability of the flaps ensures the model has an extremely wide speed range and ensure the model has an excellent thermal soaring capability. The Crow brakes allow safe descents out of the thermals and accurate and easy landings.The three-piece Built-up wings have the GRP wing joiners fitted, the Flaps and Ailerons are pre-cut and hinged, the servo cable ducts and servo wells are installed. The built-up tailplane has a symmetrical profile and a carbon spar, the mounting holes are drilled and the elevator is hinged. The wings, tailplane and rudder are covered in Oracover. The White Epoxy GRP Tee Tail fuselage has a trimmed GRP Canopy, the motor mounting plate and sternpost are fitted. The fuselage is designed to allow the elevator servo to be mounted in the base of the fin. The rudder can be connected to the servo with the ready fitted bowden or alternatively the servo can be mounted in the base of the fin and directly linked to the rudder. An ideal Electric drive combination would be a Kontronik 480/28 with 5.2:1 gearbox and 8 x Cp 1700 cells, for a typical flying weight of 2200g.For the purist, the glider version will provide outstanding flying from the slope or the flat field.
