Big Picture

K2

The K2 was designed specifically for F3J, however the model is equally at home on the flat field or the Slope. The Vee Tail halves plug neatly onto the fuselage and are removable for ease of transport. The three-piece foam veneer wings are delivered completely built and covered. The wingtips are pressed into a gentle upswept curve, not only improving the looks, but also the overall flight performance. The K2 is an "Almost Ready To Fly Model". The flaps and ailerons are hinged. The wing Servo cut outs are machined to fit the Robbe servo lock system. The wing features a near full span spar that is not only light but extremely strong, capable of winch or tow launches. The model is delivered, ready covered and assembled. The slim fuselage features a short wing pylon, removable nose cone and an inner fuselage section on which the R/C gear is mounted. The overall weight of the K2 is approx. 2200 - 2300g. An Electric fuselage is available for those wishing to fly from the flat without the hassle of winches etc. The K2 is ideally suited to the new breed of Brushless motors, which will quickly power it up into the thermals. The Length of the Electric nose cone can be shortened if required to suit the older style of heavier brushed motors. The elevator servos can be positioned directly in the Vee Tailplane halves for direct drive to the elevators.
